Where is it?
The lake was created by the Lalla Takerkoust dam on the N’Fis river, near the village of the same name. Agafay’s hills rise on one side; on the other, the Atlas foothills.
What to do
- Lunch on a terrace with lake views.
- Short walks along the shore and photos with the Atlas.
- Watching the sunset reflect on the water from the Agafay ridges.
Water levels vary a lot with rainfall: after dry years the lake can be much lower. Swimming and water sports depend on conditions and local rules — ask on site.
