How far is Agafay from Marrakech?
The Agafay Desert starts about 30 km south-west of Marrakech, on the road towards Lalla Takerkoust lake and Amizmiz. From the medina, plan 40–50 minutes by car depending on traffic and where the camp is.
Option 1: an activity with pick-up (easiest)
All our Agafay activities include return transfer from your hotel or riad. The driver waits for you and brings you back after the ride or dinner.
Option 2: private driver
Our private Agafay day trip gives you a vehicle and driver for your group, with stops where you want.
Option 3: taxi or rental car
A grand taxi can take you there, but agree the return trip and waiting time before leaving. With a rental car, the last kilometres to some camps are on dirt tracks: ask the camp for directions.
Is there a bus to Agafay?
No. There is no public bus to the Agafay camps.
